Clubs are small groups of students who come together based on shared interests and hobbies. These clubs create small communities where students can pick up new skills, express themselves better and cultivate a voluntaristic spirit.
To hone their talents, there are various clubs at Brooklyn National Public School which students can be part of. These clubs train the students in their chosen interest areas. The activities of these clubs also help students develop a sense of unity and teamwork and they learn how to work with others in reaching the same goals.
Club activities are conducted on Saturdays and we encourage our students to be part of at least two clubs. Some of the active clubs in our school include:
Arts Club
The Arts club encourages students to pick up skills either in Performing arts or Visual arts based on their interest. The activities of the club not only help students shape their personal interests and hobbies but also improve their leadership and social skills. They allow students to express themselves freely and bring out their inner creativity. The goal of these clubs is to enrich student’s lives and complement academic learning.
Under Performing Arts, Brooklyn National Public School has the following clubs :
Music Club: where students learn how to play several instruments like keyboard, guitar and flute, individually or in small groups. The teacher also guides the students in different techniques.
Dance Club: where students get to experience and learn various dance forms like classical, folk or western. Trained teachers from reputed institutes guide the students.
Theatre Club: where students can learn about and participate in various dramatic presentations in the form of skits, mime, plays etc. They become more comfortable with the stage and improve on their public speaking skills.
Debate Club: where students become more proficient in speaking, researching, writing and reasoning skills. They also learn how to express their opinions assertively in a respectful manner on a relevant issue or topic.

Environment Club
To make our students aware of environmental issues and help them figure out solutions for environmental problems, we have partnered with Reap Benefits, a platform that inspires youth to become action-based citizen champions. Students are encouraged to tackle local civic and environmental problems using local data and come up with working prototypes of their solutions.
Fitness Club
To help our students be fit both mentally and physically, we have partnered with Inventing You, an initiative to aid the holistic development of children through extracurricular learning. Students go through structured fitness and yoga programs that ensure their overall well being.
Charity – Volunteering Activities
Students of Classes 6th to 10th visit an orphanage home for the aged.
Brooklyn National Public School has an active MUN (Model United Nations) club where students simulate the proceedings of the United Nations by learning about the system, the skills of debate, compromise, conflict resolution, and negotiation. As part of this, students step into the shoes of diplomats and representatives from across the world to debate and discuss various issues and policies to tackle real-world problems. The MUN club teaches students important skills like researching, public speaking, debating, and writing, in addition to honing their critical thinking, teamwork, and leadership abilities.
Debate Club
The Debate Club is a fun way for our students to develop their public speaking and critical thinking skills. The club also helps our students become more informed about political and global affairs.
Reading Club
We encourage our students to expand their horizons by reading a wide variety of books. With in-depth discussions and assimilations of different viewpoints, students increase their knowledge and appreciate the world around them.
Other Competitive Exams
We also encourage and train our students to participate in competitions like India Spell Bee & Science Olympiad (SOF), Indian Talent Exams, NTSE.
